Houston ISD is introducing new security and entry rules for athletic events. The changes, which start on August 1, include a clear bag policy and student ID requirements. Adult supervision will also be required for most minors attending events.
These new rules will apply to UIL sporting events at district athletic facilities. They are intended to add an extra layer of security, in addition to existing measures such as metal detectors and bag inspections.
Further details on the new rules are available from Houston ISD. The changes aim to ensure a safe environment for athletes and spectators, and fans are advised to plan ahead before attending events.
